MY BIO
Shaun Fallows
I’m
a working class poet from Wigan born with Cerebral Palsy and a wheelchair
user with a firm belief that my disability has given more than it
has taken away. My Poetry ranges from the frustrations of everyday access
issues, to travel, dating, and growing up. I'd like to think the poems and
stories
are
quirky whilst told with a zest for life and honest dry sense of
humour.
I 'm thankful and feel fortunate to have several poetry books published so
far and to occasionally appear on TV and radio. In 2022 I performed a first solo show at
the Edinburgh free fringe called Sunny and chair. Whilst most recently in 2023 I brought out a third collection of poems in a book called Redundant Butties. Thanks to receiving arts council funding in 2024 I completed a mini nationwide tour also called Redundant Butties with hopes of being seen by a wider audience and raise awareness of disability access within the arts I’m currently working on a forth book called Explaining Elephants
